Partisan States of America

Political partisanship is tearing our nation apart. 2009 was the most partisan year since such trends have been monitored. I have decided that as much as I may personally agree with many Democratic values, I no longer wish to be associated with either party. I have never been a registered Democrat and have always believed in electing the best person for the job regardless their political party. I'm extremely disappointed in the Congress as a whole for not finding some way of working together this past year to help the American people. Democrats say Republicans are not working with them (essentially sitting on their hands to not be part of what they fear the public will be mad about so they can say they had nothing to do with it) and Republicans say that Democrats have locked them out of the process (drunk with their majority power). The truth lies somewhere in the middle or one side or the other but we'll never know because its all here-say. Stop playing party games and get to the work of the American people. During the worst economic downturn in years is not the time to have a red vs blue fight. Do your jobs and help this nation heal.
